Job summary

State Street Mumbai invites an experienced Income COE Officer to lead end-to-end processing of income, custody, and middle office events, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to fund records.

You will oversee a team of managers and staff, optimize processes, monitor KPIs, and drive risk controls while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across regions. A commerce or economics background with 10–16 years in accounting/finance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting, Finance or another Financial related program.
• Inter CA / Inter ICWAI or CFA (pursuing) will be preferred
• 10-16 years’ experience in accounting, finance, mutual fund operations, loan servicing or related careers (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Resource Management: Manage resources (people, budget, technology) effectively to achieve operational objectives.
• Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and identify areas for improvement, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of managers and staff within the operations department.
• Collaboration: Work with other executive teams to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization.
• Quality Control: Ensure that the company’s operations deliver high-quality products or services that meet customer needs.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential operational risks.
• Deep knowledge of Income and Corporate Actions: Understanding the end to end income cycle, fund accounting, amortization, concepts on bonds, dividends, entitlement calculations, amortization, market and loan claims lifecycle, middle office operations and relevant regulations.

Who We Are Looking For

As an Income COE Officer, the ideal candidate will support and assist Client Operations and other operational Shared Service teams/ Center of Excellence (COE’s) by monitoring and processing custody, accounting, middle office related events to the fund’s records accurately and timely. Ensure prompt follow up on exception situations and facilitate timely problem resolution to mitigate risk to the corporation and deliver excellent service to clients and people management.

Income COE deals with end to end processing of events across custody, accounting, middle office and claims services for our clients. This involves processing of many financial activities which will help other team to derive at NAV to the client, As part of Income COE you will be required to contribute towards development of Process, people and Improve Risk standards for the team.
