Job summary

Accor Bengaluru is seeking a meticulous Cashier to manage daily remittances, ensure accurate change for cashiers, and maintain precise cash handling records within a hotel finance environment. You will update exchange rates, prepare the General Cashier Daily Report, and balance the cash fund at the end of each day.

The role requires a Diploma in Accounting or Finance, at least 1 year in a similar capacity, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting / Finance.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect and check daily remittances with a witness.
• Ensure sufficient change for all cashiers.
• Update foreign exchange rate and make bank deposits as required.
• Prepare General Cashier Daily Report.
• Reimburse Front Office cashiers for disbursements made.
• Balance cash fund daily.
• Conduct surprise float counts for all cashier floats.
• Maintain over and short records and report to Financial Controller.
• Update all cashier float records on a monthly basis.
• Be aware of hotel fire & life safety procedures.

Job Description

• Collect and check daily remittances in the presence of a witness
• Ensure sufficient change for all cashiers
• Update foreign exchange rate and make bank deposits as and when required
• Prepare General Cashier Daily Report
• Reimburse Front Office cashiers for disbursement made
• Make petty cash payments on designated days
• Balance cash fund daily
• Conduct surprise float count on all cashier holding floats, including non-operation 'cashiers' like Talent & Culture and Security
• Maintain over and short records for each cashier and report evidence of review to Financial Controller
• Update all cashiers float record on a monthly basis
• Keep track of casual labour, valet dockets, official receipt book and movement records

Other Responsibilities

• Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
• Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management

Qualifications
