Job summary

JDA Software in Bengaluru seeks a software engineer with 3–5 years of experience in core Java, ExtJS, and PL/SQL. You will develop mods, uplift code, and ensure alignment with BY WMS guidelines while maintaining code quality through peer reviews.

You should be comfortable with on-site or remote go-live support, QA, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Agile methods and tools like GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent.
• Total experience 3–5 years.
• Strong expertise in Java, ExtJS, and PL/SQL.
• Prior experience with Blue Yonder / JDA / Red Prairie WMS or other WMS platforms is an added advantage.
• Experience in test management and test execution.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency with GitHub, Jenkins, and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant disciplines (MCA, MSc in Computer Science etc.).
• Total Experience – 3 yrs to 5 yrs
• Strong expertise in Java, ExtJS, PLSQL
• Prior experience with Blue Yonder / JDA / Red Prairie WMS or other WMS platforms is an added advantage.
• Experience in test management and test execution.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Use of AI Tools-Cursor AI, Replit AI, GitHub, Copilot
• In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, build processes, IDEs, and database tools (e.g., SQL Developer, SQL Management Studio).
• Strong experience with source code control systems such as GitHub, Jenkins…
• Proficiency in working with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems, including commandline usage.
• Working knowledge of JIRA for issue and project tracking.
• Ability to evaluate competing solutions and make informed decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Willingness to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery and provide technical guidance to assigned engineers.
• Confidence in making suggestions and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.
