Job summary

PwC in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery initiatives and enable high-performing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of hands-on Scrum experience, strong knowledge of SDLC, and proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.

You will coach teams, remove impediments, and partner with Product Owners to align priorities in a fast-paced IT environment.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of relevant experience delivering Agile projects in IT.

Responsibilities

Job Description and Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery initiatives and enable high-performing cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Scrum and Agile methodologies, extensive experience within the IT technology industry, and a proven track record of facilitating Agile ceremonies, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
• Act as a servant leader to Agile teams by coaching and mentoring team members on Agile principles, values, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Development Teams, and stakeholders to ensure clear prioritization and alignment of business objectives.
• Identify, track, and remove impediments that hinder team productivity and delivery.
• Monitor team performance using Agile metrics and promote continuous improvement across delivery processes.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Support Agile transformation initiatives and champion Agile adoption across the organization.
• Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, quality standards, and governance requirements.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Work with leadership and stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks, and project delivery expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (BE/B.Tech preferred).
• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in Agile project delivery, Scrum Mastership, or related roles within the IT technology industry.
• Strong hands‑on experience in facilitating Scrum events and managing Agile delivery teams.
• Deep understanding of Scrum Framework, Agile methodologies, Kanban, and Lean principles.
• Solid knowledge and practical experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and best practices.
• Experience working with cross-functional software development teams in fast-paced environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Experience using Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
• Experience supporting Agile transformation initiatives at team or organizational levels.
• Exposure to scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Nexus, etc.) is an added advantage.
