Job summary

Sigma Earth in Bengaluru seeks an experienced sustainability consultant to support client engagements from strategy through execution. The role involves contributing to business development, project management, and advisory work while managing client relationships.

Candidates should bring strong ESG knowledge, data analysis and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel for client engagements is expected.

Qualifications

• 9 years of relevant experience in sustainability/ESG consulting or related fields.
• Educational qualification: B.Tech plus MBA.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Support clients from strategy development through execution.

Role

• Work as part of a problem-solving team to address complex business challenges, supporting clients from strategy development through execution.
• Contribute to business development, project management, consulting and advisory work, and client relationship management.

Sector-Specific Responsibilities

• Support the collection and analysis of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data.
• Work with team members to identify ways to improve clients’ sustainability performance.
• Help prepare sustainability-related reports, presentations, and proposals.
• Engage with clients to understand their sustainability objectives and assist them in progressing toward those goals.
• Keep up to date with evolving sustainability standards, ESG certifications, and reporting frameworks.

Mandatory Skills

• Prior consulting experience.
• Previous exposure through work or coursework in sustainability, ESG, or related fields is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and present insights clearly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-moving environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
