Job summary

PwC South Africa in Bengaluru, India is seeking a seasoned Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build and optimize data pipelines and warehouse models. You will work with Snowflake, Python, and AWS services to enable scalable data collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience, Snowflake certification, and strong SQL/Data Modelling skills, with a proactive approach to data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of data engineering experience.
• Snowflake SnowPro Core certification.
• Experience with AWS data services (Glue, Lambda, Step Functions).

Responsibilities

• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, and DMS.
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and data models in Snowflake.
• Implement and maintain DBT workflows for data transformation and modeling.
• Write efficient and scalable SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow or similar tools.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across the pipeline.
• Work with CI/CD tools to automate deployment and testing of data workflows.
• Leverage cloud services from AWS for scalable data solutions.

We are seeking experienced and passionate Snowflake Data Engineers to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Data Modelling, AWS – Glue, Lambda, Step Functions and Python, along with exposure to modern data orchestration and cloud platforms.
