Job summary

PwC in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Senior Associate in data engineering to design and build robust data infrastructure, develop data pipelines, and enable scalable analytics across client projects.

You will work with Snowflake, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), optimize ETL processes, ensure data quality and security, translate business needs into technical specs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Snowflake and SQL for data modeling and warehousing.
• Experience in building data pipelines and ETL processes in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of data security and governance practices.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of SQL language and cloud-based technologies
• Data warehousing concepts, data modeling, metadata management
• Data lakes, multi-dimensional models, data dictionaries
• Migration to AWS or Azure Snowflake platform
• Performance tuning and setting up resource monitors
• Snowflake modelling – roles, databases, schemas
• SQL performance measuring, query tuning, and database tuning
• ETL tools with cloud-driven skills
• Integration with third-party tools
• Ability to build analytical solutions and models
• Coding in languages like Python
• Hadoop, Spark, and other warehousing tools
• Managing sets of XML, JSON, and CSV from disparate sources
• Snowflake warehousing, architecture, processing, administration
• Data ingestion into Snowflake
• Enterprise-level technical exposure to Snowflake applications
• Proven track record of data migration and optimization within Snowflake
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Design and implement scalable and efficient data storage solutions using Snowflake.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries within the Snowflake environment.
• Integrate Snowflake with various data sources and third-party tools.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data-driven business objectives.
• Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and best practices.
• Proficient in SQL and familiar with ETL processes
• Experience with data modeling and cloud computing environments
• Hands‑on experience with Snowflake features like Time Travel and Zero-Copy Cloning
• Understanding of data compliance and security best practices
• Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization in a cloud data platform
• Familiarity with BI tools integration, such as Tableau.
