Job summary

PwC India is seeking a seasoned Java Backend Developer at Senior Associate level to join the Advisory Operations team in Hyderabad. You will contribute to designing and improving backend services, ensuring performance, scalability, and robust error handling across microservices.

You will review and optimize service layers, apply SOLID principles, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products for clients.

Qualifications

Strong Java backend development experience with Java11+.
Experience in data structures, algorithms and software design.
Hands-on with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

Review and improve Java service layer code focusing on coding standards and SOLID adherence.
Identify and resolve design flaws, concurrency issues, exception handling, and resource management problems.
Analyze order processing services to detect vulnerabilities, memory leaks, and performance bottlenecks.
Refactor code for readability, maintainability, and separation of responsibilities in line with OOP best practices.
Implement and suggest improvements for thread safety including proper synchronization and use of thread-safe collections.
Remove redundant validations and duplicate code, and promote reusable utility methods and validators.
