Job Position Title:

Senior Associate - Azure Data Engineer - Data & Analytics - Advisory - Bangalore

Responsibilities :

1. Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using PySpark or Scala to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources.
2. Implement data ingestion, processing, and storage solutions on Azure, utilizing services like Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
3. Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to support efficient data access and analytics.
4. Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
5. Ensure data security and compliance to protect sensitive information and meet regulatory standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using PySpark, Scala, and Apache Spark.
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform and related services.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Scala, with knowledge of software development practices including version control and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, HBase is a plus.
