Job summary

Bosch Ltd in India, at the Bidadi plant, seeks a Front Line Manager/Assistant Manager/Senior engineer to supervise shift operations, mentor shop-floor associates and ensure compliance with safety, quality and delivery standards. You will organize production setup, assign tasks, follow procedures and steer activities to meet SQCD targets for the shift.

You will monitor KPI like OEE, FPY and scrap, lead daily meetings with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement through Kaizens

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Industrial production (or equivalent) required.
• 1+ years in auto components manufacturing or similar industry preferred.
• Experience with Lean/Kaizen and shift management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Organize production setup as per production schedule and assign tasks to associates.
• Follow standard procedures, methods, and work instructions to meet SQCD targets.
• Conduct and document shift checks, record attendance, breakdowns, quality issues, and performance; handover to next shift.
• Track production performance and efficiency KPIs (OEE, FPY, scrap) and drive corrective actions.
• Lead daily meetings with associates, CFT members, managers, and vendors to communicate goals, challenges, and results.
• Coach and develop shop-floor associates; sustain an open, safe and productive work environment.

Job purpose / Objective

The purpose of this position is to supervise shift operations of Value stream / Sub Value streams, manage & motivates shop-floor associates, facilitates efficient value creation, mentors entry level associates, coaches & develop associates, ensure conformance to safety, quality & shop-floor standards, maintain IR & shop floor discipline, follow deviation management & continuous improvement to achieve targeted operational results.

Organize production setup as per production schedule, assign task to associates, follow standard procedures, methods, BPS & work instructions, adapt & steer primary production activities to fulfil SQCD targets of the shift.

Conduct & document checks / LPC to ensure conformance to safety, quality & shop-floor standards. Record shift events (attendance, breakdowns, quality issues, criticality, performance, etc). Summarize shift events & performance and handover to next shift FLM to ensure seamless production continuity
