Job summary

Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks a MAE/Line Planning expert to manage line readiness and IPN production controls. You will coordinate with cross functional teams, optimize layouts, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvements.

You will also participate in line trials, capacity planning, and handover to production, ensuring on-time project delivery and knowledge sharing across IPN. BE/B-Tech is required with strong electronics/mechanical manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in manufacturing processes/technologies in Electronics & Mechanical assembly.
  • Read BOM data, assembly drawings, technical specification, DPPS, VVT & DMD documents.
  • Knowledge on new project launch, Production readiness and ramp up management.
  • Knowledge on project management tools like Microsoft Project for scheduling management.
  • Knowledge on MAE ordering, delivery, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Good understanding of Electronics manufacturing process/technologies, Machine tools and systems.
  • Experience in failure analysis, problem solving methods / approach.
  • Good in Quality management tools, Quality gates.
  • Knowledge in DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, Machine capability, Process capability studies.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of manufacturing technologies, processes, methodologies, and global production practices.
  • Knowledge on MS Office, Power point presentation skills, SAP, Power BI & Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Work breakdown system (WBS) and Bill of Material (BOM) in SAP system.

Responsibilities

  • Manage MAE/Line planning for Bosch IPN production network.
  • Coordinate reviews with cross-functional teams (lead plant, production plant, suppliers).
  • Serve as single contact between manufacturing plant and project team for line readiness.
  • Monitor line KPIs and drive improvement actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects to increase line efficiency.
  • Support defect cost reduction, productivity, and QA measures.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across IPN.
  • Lead line circle meetings with plants and exchange knowledge in IPN.
  • Plan production line readiness and releases to SOP per project targets.
  • Prepare and align production line layouts and approvals.
  • Participate in machine acceptance events and coordinate related tasks.
  • Optimize line layouts for safe, efficient production.
  • Coordinate MAE specification, supplier coordination, MAE ordering, DAP, build, acceptance for new projects.
  • Manage line capacity expansion or reduction based on demand.
  • Plan technical line capacity and equipment needs.
  • Support ad-hoc capacity planning for volume increases.
  • Participate in line trials, sample and serial production support.
  • Ensure project handover to production with proper documentation.
  • Participate in PGL workshops and supplier visits for pre-acceptance and final acceptance.
  • Strategically align IPN line capacity with business needs.

Job Description
  • Responsible for MAE/Line planning at Bosch International Production Network
  • Organize reviews and coordinate with cross functional teams (Lead plant, production plant and suppliers)
  • Single point of contact between the manufacturing plant and cross functional project team for line readiness
  • Monitor line specific KPIs and drive measures
  • Drive Continuous improvement projects to increase line efficiency
  • Support to reduce defect costs, increasing productivity, and implementing quality assurance measures
  • Implement lessons learnt & best practice across IPN
  • Drive line circle meetings with production plant, support for measures & exchange knowledge in IPN
  • Responsible to handle entire production line readiness & release to SOP according to project targets
  • Preparing, aligning, and coordinating the approval of production line layouts
  • Active participation in machine acceptance events and coordination of related departmental tasks
  • Optimizing production line layouts to support efficient and safe production
  • Facilitate & Coordinate for MAE specification, Supplier Coordination, Quote, MAE Ordering, DAP, MAE build, Pre-acceptance & Final acceptance for new projects
  • Managing production line expansion or capacity reduction based on production requirements
  • Planning technical line capacity and required equipment according to the production requirements
  • Support for ad-hoc request to plan line capacity based on volume increase
  • Participation in line trials, sample production and serial production support
  • Ensure project handover to production plant team with appropriate documentation
