Job summary

PwC is seeking an Associate SAP consultant in its Advisory practice to deliver SAP BW and SAP BPC based BI solutions. You will analyse client needs, implement BI solutions, and provide training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications.

The role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency and enabling clients to achieve strategic objectives. The candidate will work across SAP BW/BPC plus Oracle DB environments, with responsibilities spanning design, development, data migration,

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience of specifying, designing and developing BI solutions using SAP BW, SAP BPC and Oracle DB.
• Using Data Transfer Process (DTP), Transformations, and Data Store Objects (DSO).
• Ability to model and build Info cubes, Info objects, InfoSets and MultiProviders.

Responsibilities

• Work with business to analyse requirements and deliver BW/BPC-based solutions.
• Use DTP, Transformations and BEx Query Designer to support BI projects.
• Support data migration projects and document BW/BPC solutions for migration.
• Coordinate development and review of code elements across the project lifecycle.
• Participate in all phases from design to deployment and post-production support.

Skills, qualifications & knowledge

On the job current experience of:

• Extensive hands on experience of specifying, designing and developing process enhancing business intelligence solutions using SAP BW, SAP BPC and Oracle DB


• Using full features of the Data Transfer Process (DTP), Transformations, Data Store Objects (DSO).


• Able to Model and build Info cubes, Info objects, Info sets and Multi Providers.


• Ability to write reports using BEx Query Designer and Analyser.


• Strong technical problem solving

SAP BUSINESS PLANNING AND CONSOLIDATION

• Setting up environment, configuring models and dimension, enabling seamless integration of master data and hierarchies with underlying transaction systems


• Configuring Transformation and conversion files, data manager packages, package links for extracting and performing task on data.


• Setting up the initial ownership structure and defining the rate input templates


• Drafting currency translation rules (both periodical & YTD), elimination and adjustment rules, US elimination rules,carry-forward rules, account-based calculations rules


• Writing logic scripts, collaborating with ABAP team members on functional aspects for BADIs


• Designing EPM reports and input templates from consolidation and planning needs.


• Backup procedures


• Creation of queries, info areas, aggregation levels, key figures, characteristics, composite providers, variables,reports and input templates using HANA Studio and BEX Query.

Key responsibility areas

• Work with Business to analyse requirements, design and deliver BW / BPC based solutions.


• Use tools to perform Data Transfer Process, Transformations and BEx Query Designer and Analyser


• Provide support for data migration projects as and when required


• Understand the business data requirements and translate it into solution framework/ architecture


• Manage, plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines


• Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders


• Coordinate the development of code elements and review.
