Job summary

TronMatrix LLP in Pune/Bengaluru seeks an experienced IMS Security Integration Architect to lead migration from ACF2 to RACF and implement RBAC across IMS components, including TM, DB, Connect, and OTMA.

The role requires 12+ years in IMS systems programming or mainframe security, with strong RACF/SAF knowledge, ACF2-to-RACF conversion, and hands-on testing during migration waves. Hybrid work setup with three days on-site per week; immediate joining preferred.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in IMS systems programming, IMS database/application support or mainframe middleware security.

Responsibilities

• Own IMS security conversion design and RACF/RBAC integration.
• Define controls for transactions, databases, IMS Connect, regions, batch, service IDs and application access.
• Translate ACF2 IMS rules into RACF groups, profiles, permits and role assignments.
• Coordinate IMS Connect, OTMA, application connectivity and service ID authorities.
• Lead regression, authorization, database, batch, connectivity and negative testing.
• Troubleshoot authorization failures using IMS logs, RACF messages, SMF, traces and diagnostics.
• Coordinate application-owner validation and sign-off for migration waves.
• Review security deliverables, access matrices, evidence, plans and fallback procedures.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IMS Security Integration Architect to lead IMS security integration during ACF2 to RACF migration and RBAC conversion across IMS Transaction Manager, IMS Database, IMS Connect, dependent regions, batch, transaction authorization, database access, operator commands, started tasks and service IDs.

Required Experience

• 12+ years of experience in IMS systems programming, IMS database/application support or mainframe middleware security.
• Strong IMS TM, IMS DB, IMS Connect, dependent regions, batch integration and RACF/SAF knowledge.
• Strong experience with ACF2 IMS rules and ACF2-to-RACF security migration.
• Experience with transaction security, PSB/PCB access and database controls.
• Experience with MPRs, control regions, started tasks, operator commands and OTMA.
• Hands-on experience in regression, authorization, connectivity and negative testing.
• Experience with critical regulated IMS workloads, security changes and production cutovers.

Preferred Skills

IMS command tools, zSecure, automation, Banking/high-volume IMS, IBM IMS/zOS/RACF certifications.

Candidate Requirements

• Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
• Maximum notice period: 0–15 days.
• Willing to relocate/work hybrid from Kharadi, Pune.
• Candidates from Bengaluru willing to relocate to Pune may apply.
• Strong hands-on IMS + ACF2/RACF security experience required.
