Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a procurement professional in Bengaluru to execute supplier qualification, support audits, and manage purchase requests in line with technical specs, price, and delivery schedules.

You will work under supervision to ensure compliance with corporate purchasing policies and contribute to supplier performance tracking, contract adaptation, and market information support for bids.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in any field.
• 2–3 years of experience.
• Experience in Procurement Operations, SAP Ariba, Source-to-Pay processes, and Service Management.
• Proficiency in English (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new suppliers and coordinate with the relevant category team.
• Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists, terms and conditions.
• Adapt contractual framework to local business needs and recommend frame agreements.
• Analyze and evaluate bids to determine optimal value.
• Support bid/proposal teams with market information within the area of responsibility.
• Track goods receipt to verify delivery and process invoices according to guidelines.
• Oversee supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, and lead time.
• Initiate supply orders in the ERP system and verify delivery with suppliers.
• Align supplier orders with customer requirements in content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
• Ensure compliance with external/internal regulations and Hitachi Energy policies.

Job description

Executes Supplier qualification and support audits, material purchase requests, according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures under supervision

How you’ll make an impact:

• Recommends / supports in Identifying new suppliers and coordinates with relevant category team. Follows the process to qualify new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
• Supports in negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions and feeds back recommendations for appropriate actions.
• Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management, ensures approved contractual terms in execution.
• Analyses and evaluates bids within the scope, in order to determine the optimal value.
• Supports bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information within the area of responsibility.
• Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing as per available guidelines.
• Oversees supplier performance (on time delivery, quality, lead time), and recommends solutions / resolves performance issues within the scope.
• Initiates supply orders in the system, confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
• Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
• Conducts all Supply Chain activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensures Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as defined in Pro-Supply procedure within the scope of activities.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• Qualification of Graduate or postgraduate degree in any fields.
• Should have 2 to 3 years of experience.
• Should have experience in Procurement Operations, SAP Ariba, Source-to-Pay Processes, Support & Service Management,
• Knowledge Management, Problem Solving, Stakeholder Management, Process Improvement, Data Analysis, Training & User Enablement, Communication & Collaboration.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
