Role Overview: The Business Consultant is responsible for delivering consulting services to customers and for defining, improving, and driving best practices within the customer base. The Business Consultant may also work in Pre-Sales engagements during presentation and scoping phases.
In This Role You Will:
- Focus on business requirements gathering, functional solutions, and testing.
- Conduct business requirement analysis and gap analysis.
- Develop and recommend solutions and strategies based on customer goals, objectives, needs, and existing workflows.
- Identify and recommend solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Facilitate business process and configuration workshops.
- Define project delivery strategies and plans in collaboration with Project Managers.
- Provide functional and business leadership to customers and cross-functional teams.
- Work with internal teams to define, deliver, and address post-implementation issues.
- Lead configuration workshops and administration training delivery.
- Provide consulting on functionality and industry best practices of the Cornerstone application.
- Ensure adherence to best practices internally.
- Function as a subject-matter expert in relevant areas.
- Oversee and guide implementation projects.
- Meet utilization and KPIs related to individual and practice performance.
- No direct reporting responsibilities.
- Travel up to 50% as required.
You ve Got What It Takes If You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 2-4 years consulting experience in the HCM space.
- Over 2 years of experience in medium/large scale projects.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills to project confidence and lead group discussions.
- Ability to engage with prospective customers during scope discovery.
- Skills to control project scope and schedules.
- Team collaboration and contribution to overall success.
- Focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and lead complex projects.
- Deep subject matter expertise in relevant practice areas.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer-facing skills.
- Fluency in English and at least one major European language.
