Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a Software V&V Engineer with 4–14 years of experience to drive verification and validation efforts in avionics software. The role covers end-to-end testing, including hardware-software integration, emulator-based approaches, and automation tool development using C# and Python. LabVIEW knowledge is a plus for test automation.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure compliant, robust avionics software solutions.

Qualifications

• 4–14 years of V&V experience, DO-178B/C knowledge required.
• BE/B.Tech degree is mandatory.
• Experience with hardware-software integration and emulator-based testing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in Software Verification and Validation per DO 178B/C standards.
• Perform hardware-software integration testing at black-box level using emulators.
• Develop verification tools using C#, Python to achieve high automation; LabVIEW is a plus.

Software V&V Engineer

Experience: 4-14 Years

Primary Responsibility:

• Proficient in Software Verification and Validation as per DO 178B/C standards.
• Proficient in Hardware- Software Integration Level at black box level, Emulator Based testing.
• Hands on experience in performing structural coverage and Model coverage Analysis.
• Hands on experience in performing Memory, Stack and Timing margin analysis.
• Demonstrated capability to develop verification tools using C#, Python to achieve 100% Automation in Verification. NI-LabVIEW knowledge is added advantage.
• Knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, ARINC 429, AFDX, Time Triggered Protocol.
• Experience on usage of the Configuration Management and Change management Tools (Polarion, DOORs, Synergy, Tortoise SVN)
• Able to quickly learn the new technologies and deploy them with minimum dependency.
• Ability to interact with SBU and cross functional team for technical discussions and demonstrations.
• Able to work in AGILE team with good knowledge on agile techniques/frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, Program Increment, Feature Development, User Story development and backlog tracking.
