Job summary

Synmac Consultants Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai area is seeking entry-level tax and accounting trainees to support GST and Income Tax work, bookkeeping, and compliance tasks.

Freshers may join as trainees with a stipend during training; responsibilities include preparing returns, ROC filings, monthly P&L, and audits under supervision. You will gain exposure to various tax processes and IT tools in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of relevant tax/accounting concepts.
• Prepare Tax Returns/Bookkeeping and related services.
• Validate data and analyze for accuracy and relevance.
• Keep up-to-date with tax technical / technology developments.
• Produce quality work which adheres to professional standards.
• Think broadly and ask questions about data provided by clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in GST and Income Tax preparations and submissions.
• Prepare monthly Profit and Loss statements and ROC compliances.
• Handle company registrations and related procedures.
• Maintain books and ensure data accuracy.
• Attend audits, hearings and appeals related to GST and taxes.
• Audit of vouchers monthly with invoice/file categorisation.
• Work towards targets and deadlines with team.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of GST and Income Tax (from preparation to submission)
• Timely preparation and finalising GST returns
• Monthly Profit and Loss Statement
• ROC compliances
• Registration of companies and procedures
• ESI , PF , Professional tax and shop act compliances
• Complete taxation work including Audits like Tax audits , statutory Audits etc and accounting
• Maintenanceof books
• Attending Scrutiny , hearings and appeal related GST , Income tax and other tax matters
• Audit of all vouchers every month w.r.t. categorisation of invoice files, purchase files, tax acknowledgement

Technical

• Basic understanding of relevant tax/accounting concepts
