Job summary

Segula Technologies India, based in Chennai, seeks a CAD Engineer to create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using UG NX (Siemens NX) for automotive programs. You will support Body Design and vehicle packaging activities and develop body-related components per engineering requirements.

Responsibilities include design updates, data quality, and participation in design reviews with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using UG NX (Siemens NX).
• Support Body Design and vehicle packaging activities for automotive programs.
• Develop and modify Body-related components based on engineering requirements.
• Perform design updates based on engineering changes and customer requirements.
• Ensure designs meet vehicle packaging, interface and engineering requirements.
• Perform design feasibility checks and identify potential design/package conflicts.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders.
• Maintain CAD data quality and ensure proper configuration of design data.
• Work with vehicle-level architecture and packaging requirements.
• Understand interfaces between Body, Exterior, Interior, Chassis and other vehicle systems.
• Support vehicle package studies and integration activities.
• Perform DMU, clearance and interference/clash checks.
• Identify and resolve design issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Support engineering changes throughout the product development cycle.
