Job description

Overview

iMerit is looking for trainees to join a global team responsible for IT operations across 9 of its 10 centers located in India (Saltlake). Trainees will be responsible for providing on-site support for the center to which they are assigned and remote support for all centers when required. They must be able to work a rotational schedule required to support iMerit’s 7 days/week operation.

Looking out for Fresher B.Tech/B.E (CSE, ECE) candidates.

Job Description

  • Support purchasing, receipt, hardening, distribution, tracking, and audit of software licenses and computer equipment.
  • Support coordination and tracking of OEM vendor repairs for assets under warranty.
  • Support the release and tracking of infrastructure changes.
  • Support the collection and organization of artifacts required to support IT audits from various iMerit departments and teams.
  • Support the development of IT program documentation.
  • Develop and apply the skills needed to configure office computers, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide Service Desk support when required: Participate in Service Desk training.
  • Shadow team members for knowledge transfer.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve common system issues.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate software and computer equipment.
  • Carry out common maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Prior training in information technology.
  • Familiarity with desktop and network equipment.
  • Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Team player – ability to thrive as a member of a geographically dispersed team.
  • Excellent English-language communication ability.
