We specialize in assessing potential investments through detailed market research, financial modeling, and industry benchmarking.

Role Overview:

We are establishing multiple manufacturing units in India and require a seasoned Global Procurement Head to manage and optimize procurement processes for high-value industrial equipment sourced from international markets.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving vendor negotiations, managing RFQs and bid evaluations, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management
   - Identify, evaluate, and onboard international vendors for industrial equipment and manufacturing technologies.
   - Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to optimize costs and maintain quality.
   - Build and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure seamless procurement operations.
2. RFQ & Bid Management
   - Draft and issue comprehensive RFQs with detailed technical and commercial specifications.
   - Analyze vendor proposals, perform bid comparisons, and assess supplier capabilities.
   - Develop frameworks for bid evaluation, focusing on cost, quality, after-sales support, and delivery schedules.
3. Negotiation & Contract Finalization
   - Negotiate procurement agreements, including pricing, warranties, service levels, and post-installation support.
   - Ensure favorable terms related to equipment lifecycle, spare parts availability, and operational uptime.
4. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination
   - Oversee import/export processes, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, customs duties, and taxation (GST/IGST).
   - Optimize freight, shipping, and logistics costs while maintaining delivery timelines.
5. Risk Management & Compliance
   - Assess supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays or quality issues.
   - Ensure compliance with all international procurement standards and trade regulations.
6. Cost Control & Budgeting
   - Establish and manage procurement budgets aligned with project timelines.
   - Drive cost-saving initiatives by identifying opportunities for better pricing, improved payment terms, and vendor diversification.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. MBA/PGDM preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in procurement and commercial leadership roles.
- Proven track record of handling large-scale procurement of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Significant exposure to vendor management and negotiations with Chinese, Taiwanese, and international suppliers.
- Experience in setting up manufacturing units or managing industrial procurement is a plus.

Languages:
- Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Mandarin or other Chinese languages is desirable.
