Job summary

Layam in Chennai, India seeks an experienced IELTS/PTE trainer to conduct training for individuals and groups, covering Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, with regular mock exams and progress tracking.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in English or related field, and 25 years of experience with excellent English skills. Training candidates for overseas employment is an advantage. On-site position with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics or a related field preferred.
• 25 years of experience as an IELTS/PTE or English-language trainer.
• Good knowledge of IELTS and PTE exam patterns and scoring.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Good teaching and communication skills.
• Ability to handle both individual and group training.
• Experience training candidates for overseas employment or migration will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IELTS and PTE training for individual and group batches.

Candidate Score Target The trainer will be responsible for preparing candidates to achieve the following minimum scores:

• IELTS: 6.5+ overall
• PTE: 30+ overall

The trainer should regularly conduct mock tests and ensure candidates are progressing towards these targets.

Preferred Candidates with experience training skilled workers, engineers, healthcare professionals, teachers and other professionals for overseas employment or migration will be preferred.
