Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Subject Matter Expert / Lead to join our growing Global Capability Center (GCC) team in Hyderabad. In this hands‑on technical lead role, you will be responsible for managing, enhancing, and scaling our enterprise IAM architecture and identity life cycle processes across internal employees and external contractors.
You will serve as the primary technical authority for our SailPoint implementation and act as a pivotal bridge between technical teams and global business stakeholders across Europe, South America, and the US.
Key Responsibilities
- IAM Architecture & Operations: Lead the daily technical management, maintenance, and continuous optimization of the enterprise SailPoint platform.
- Lifecycle Process Management: Oversee end‑to‑end automated Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) workflows, including automated provisioning and de‑provisioning for internal employees, contractors, functional accounts, and system accounts.
- Stakeholder & Business Alignment: Work directly with business owners, HR, IT, and cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into IAM security policies and Role‑Based Access Controls (RBAC).
- Connector & API Management: Manage integrations between SailPoint and core business applications utilizing REST APIs, ensuring secure communication across systems.
- Identity Source Integration: Administer and maintain identity flows between HR systems (Oracle HCM for employees, ServiceNow for contractors), directories (Active Directory / Entra ID), and enterprise cloud workspaces (Google Workspace).
- System Enhancements: Identify operational gaps, execute system enhancements, and drive platform expansions to support our evolving multi‑application environment.
- Risk & Continuous Improvement: Monitor access risks, enforce lease‑privilege access, and manage risk mitigation strategies using standard product management practices.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 8–14 years of hands‑on experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) within an enterprise environment.
- Core IAM Expertise: Deep technical subject matter expertise in SailPoint (IdentityIQ / IdentityNow) and lifecycle management. (Candidates with strong Okta expertise will be considered if willing to manage SailPoint environments).
- Lifecycle Automation: Proven track record designing and maintaining automated JML workflows and RBAC models.
- Directory & Workspace Management: Direct experience managing identities within Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and Active Directory (AD). Experience managing identities in Google Workspace is highly preferred.
- Integration & Systems: Practical experience working with REST APIs for IAM connector integrations, alongside familiarity with Oracle HCM and ServiceNow.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; comfortable engaging with global stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have / Assets
- Knowledge of identity management within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with product management frameworks, project management principles (e.g., PMP concepts), or ITIL service management frameworks.
- Basic understanding or conversational ability in French is a minor advantage (not required).
Candidate Profile & Mindset
- Hands‑on Expert: This is an Individual Contributor (IC) SME role—not a people management position. We are looking for an execution‑focused professional who enjoys solving complex IAM challenges directly.
- Long‑Term Focus: Seeking a professional looking to settle into a critical technical role for 3–5 years, providing consistency and leadership for our global identity infrastructure.
