Job summary

Stantec India Pune seeks a Building Services Electrical Design Engineer with 3–8 years of experience to deliver telecom, AV, security, and CCTV design across multiple projects. You will coordinate with regional leads and other engineers, contributing to design development and tender deliverables.

The role requires proficiency in REVIT MEP, BIM360 and Navisworks, and a solid grasp of TIA/NEC/NFPA standards. English communication and collaboration across disciplines are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

• Daily electrical design duties of all Building Services requirements. Day to day tasks include 30% to 100% Design Stages for buildings infrastructure and assistance for the Project and multi–Discipline Engineers. Coordination with regional leads.

• The engineer will be responsible for development of Telecom, AV, Security design as per the client needs and requirements.

• As a Technology engineer, it should be expected that the duties will be flexible, providing design assistance for multiple projects.

• Work as a team member to coordinate design projects with professional engineers and other CAD/BIM technicians.

• Utilize customized tools, utilities, and scripts to automate work processes and improve design productivity and efficiency and to comply with the company design standards.

Competencies:

• The Candidate should be an Adept on calculations and Telecom design, specification and selection work for telecom, fire alarm, Audio Visual, Security and CCTV.

• Carry out complete design includes Structural Cabling plans, security, audio-visual plans, layout of IDF/MDF/Demarc rooms, horizontal cabling and fiber backbone one-lines, flow diagrams, sections, elevations, material schedules, Generate Wi-Fi-heat map reports

• Coordinate with project engineers for all electrical/ELV systems requirements, RFI Handling

• Collaborate and coordinate with other disciplines design-changes and model reviews.

• Preparation of design deliverable, tender preparation as per project requirements.

• Ensure proper backup and archiving

• Follow TIA, BICSI, NEC codes, standards and design development procedures.

• Participate in MEP Design model and/or content review for 3D Coordination Meeting

• Firsthand experience of REVIT MEP, BIM360 and NAVISWORKS.

Person Specifications:

• 3 to 8 years of relevant career experience with a Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Relevant IT skills/computer literate.

• Knowledge of TIA, BICSI, NEC, NEMA, NFPA standards.

• Mission Critical projects experience will be preferred.

• Good command of English (communication and writing skills).

• Experience in Electrical and Fire alarm system is an added advantage.
