Job summary

Accenture PLC seeks a Senior Manager in Supply Chain analytics to drive advanced data science initiatives across demand planning, supply planning, network design, logistics, and manufacturing.

The role requires 11+ years of analytics delivery experience in supply chain contexts, a PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field, and hands-on Python/PySpark/SQL skills to architect solutions and lead large teams.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 11+ years of data science experience post-master’s or 8+ years post-PhD in analytics in supply chain/logistics/manufacturing.
• Certifications in Python, AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Optimization, Simulation, or cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Create new innovative offerings and lead workstreams in the area of expertise; demonstrate thought leadership for client growth and team development.
• Serve as solution architect and delivery lead for analytics projects with one or more Manager-led teams.
• Support business development and communicate with client leaders to understand challenges and gain buy-in for analytics solutions.
• Lead large project teams across multiple workstreams and present complex concepts to senior stakeholders.

Job Description

The ideal candidate for a Senior Manager in the Supply Chain team shall be,

• A subject matter expert in application of data science methodologies in one or more areas of supply chain analytics: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Network Design, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, After Market, or Control Tower

• Create new innovative offerings and lead workstreams in their area of expertise; demonstrate thought leadership which helps the growth of the Practice via new client work and more trained team members.

• Support business development and communicate with leaders in client teams to understand business challenges, be the solution architect, design and get buy-in for the analytics solution and serve as delivery lead of one or more Manager-led teams during project execution

Job Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• Ideal candidates should have a Ph.D. or a Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline like Statistics/ Economics/ Operations Research/Computer Science, etc.

• Work experience in data science applications should be 11+ years after Master’s degree or 8+ years after Ph.D., with at least 7 years in advanced analytics solutions design and delivery experience in supply chain/logistics/manufacturing/ production. Global client experience is a plus.

• Certifications in any one or two of the areas will be an added advantage: Python, AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, Optimization, Simulation, data science application on any of the cloud platforms (Azure/ GCP/ AWS).

Mandatory Skills:

• Deep experience in creating innovative solutions and delivering projects using data science in at least one of the supply chain functional areas: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Network Design, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, After Market, or Control Tower

• Expertise in use of data science for supply chain planning and operations of any of the major industries: Consumer Goods, Retail, Life sciences, Industrial, and Resources

• Expert in creating solutions using one or more data science areas like Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Statistics, Operations Research

• Experience in leading work delivered via large project teams across multiple workstreams

• Strong skills in presentation of complex concepts and large-scale project work to senior stakeholders

• Hands-on programming experience with any of the analytics tools, data bases and visualization tools and platforms (e.g., Python, PySpark, SQL)
