Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced virtualization engineer with deep Hyper-V expertise to manage and optimize enterprise-scale virtualization infrastructure.

The role emphasizes Hyper-V architecture, clustering, live migration, and high availability, plus hands-on performance tuning and capacity planning across Windows Server-based environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Hyper-V architecture, failover clustering, live migration and VM high availability.
• Strong hands-on experience in Hyper-V performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Experience in VM lifecycle management including provisioning, expansion, optimization, and decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• 57 years of handson experience in server virtualization, with strong primary expertise in Microsoft HyperV.
• Indepth experience in HyperV architecture, Failover Clustering, Live Migration, HyperV Replica, and VM high availability.
• Strong handson experience in HyperV performance monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning.
• Experience in VM lifecycle management, including provisioning, expansion, optimization, and decommissioning.
• Working knowledge of VMware ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter administration (secondary skill).
• Experience in server migrations, including P2V and crossplatform virtualization scenarios.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server platforms used with HyperV.
• Knowledge of SAN storage concepts, multipathing, and VM storage design.
• Awareness of Active Directory integration, DNS dependencies, and virtualizationrelated services.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
• Experience working in enterprise / remote infrastructure support environments.
