Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional hydrology engineering experience (UK or Canada)
  • Expertise in hydrological modeling, analysis, and water resource assessment
  • Proficiency with hydrological software (HEC-HMS, MIKE HYDRO, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of groundwater and surface water systems
  • Experience with environmental impact assessments related to water resources
  • Understanding of hydraulic design principles
  • Proficiency in GIS software and spatial data analysis
  • Excellent technical writing and report preparation skills
  • Knowledge of UK or Canadian water regulations and environmental legislation
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments and communicate complex technical information

Job Description
  • Conduct comprehensive hydrological assessments and analyses for water resource management projects, including groundwater and surface water evaluations
  • Develop, calibrate, and validate hydrological models using industry-standard software to simulate watershed behavior and predict water availability
  • Perform hydraulic design and analysis for water infrastructure projects, including flood management systems and water supply schemes
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation that communicate complex hydrological findings to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
  • Assess environmental impacts related to water resources and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards from UK, Canadian, and Indian jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Utilize GIS and specialized hydrological software to analyze spatial data and support decision-making processes
  • Review and interpret hydrological data from monitoring stations and field investigations to inform project recommendations
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budget management to ensure efficient delivery of engineering services
  • Stay current with advancements in hydrological science, modeling techniques, and international best practices
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional hydrology engineering experience in the UK or Canada
  • Demonstrated expertise in hydrological modeling, analysis, and water resource assessment
  • Proficiency with hydrological software and tools (HEC-HMS, MIKE HYDRO, or equivalent)
