Job summary

DJE NEXUS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an on-site HVAC SP3D Modeller in Mumbai for a contract role. You will develop and update 3D HVAC models, prepare layout drawings, and coordinate with disciplines to deliver clash-free, integrated models in line with project specifications.

You will review inputs, apply markups, and maintain version control while supporting design reviews and client meetings. Knowledge of SP3D, HVAC, and offshore standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SP3D (SmartPlant 3D) or equivalent 3D modelling tools for HVAC systems.
• Solid understanding of HVAC design principles, ducting, ventilation, and air distribution.
• Experience interpreting P&IDs, GA drawings, datasheets, and project specs.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate models.
• Familiarity with industry codes for HVAC and offshore/marine projects.
• Good CAD/drafting practices and fabrication drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication in a fast-paced project setting.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering; offshore/marine experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update 3D HVAC models in SP3D for offshore/marine projects.
• Create layout drawings, equipment arrangements, and duct routing per specs.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, structural and electrical teams to avoid clashes.
• Prepare detailed fabrication and installation drawings and reports.

Role Description

The HVAC SP3D Modeller will work on-site in Mumbai on a contract basis, supporting engineering and design teams for offshore, marine, and related projects. Responsibilities include developing and updating 3D HVAC models in SP3D, creating layout drawings, equipment arrangements, and duct routing in accordance with project specifications and standards. The role involves coordinating with mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical disciplines to ensure clash-free, integrated models, and preparing detailed drawings and reports for fabrication and installation. The HVAC SP3D Modeller will review design inputs, incorporate markups and revisions, maintain model integrity and version control, and support design reviews and client meetings as needed. The position also requires adherence to safety, quality, and compliance requirements in all modelling activities.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SP3D (SmartPlant 3D) or equivalent 3D modelling tools for HVAC systems, including layout, routing, and equipment modelling.
• Solid understanding of HVAC design principles, ducting, ventilation, and air distribution for industrial, marine, or offshore environments.
• Experience interpreting engineering documents such as P&IDs, GA drawings, equipment datasheets, and project specifications.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinate models with piping, structural, and electrical disciplines.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes for HVAC and offshore/marine projects, with attention to safety and compliance.
• Good command of CAD and drafting practices, including preparation of detailed fabrication and installation drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage revisions and maintain accurate documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; prior experience in offshore, marine, oil & gas, or shipbuilding projects is an advantage.
