Overview

Micron Technology’s Facilities Team is hiring an experienced HVAC Operations Technician for our new wafer fabrication facility in Sanand, Gujarat. This role focuses on operating mechanical and HVAC systems—including chiller plant, compressed air, heating water, cooling water, process exhaust, cleanroom HVAC, and general building HVAC—to support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform various rounds and readings
• Monitor system and alarms
• Respond to alarms and failures
• Act as first responder with ERT
• Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA 70E standards
• Understand P&ID drawings and one‑line diagrams; troubleshoot faults and alarms
• Provide timely and detailed preventive maintenance on highly technical equipment
• Restore equipment to service quickly to minimize downtime
• Identify and respond to alarm conditions
• Support resolution of equipment issues
• Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and system stability
• Maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry or related field experience, or equivalent experience or military training/experience
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off schedules, rotating from day to night every four months or a 5‑day work week)
