Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Service Engineer - HVAC to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems in commercial and industrial settings. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

You will work on chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, and other equipment, ensuring safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Bachelor's in mechanical/electrical engineering or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, with HVAC certification

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field.
• HVAC certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, package units, and other HVAC equipment.
• Attend service calls and provide timely resolution of customer complaints.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintenance records.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams for project execution and service delivery.
• Manage spare parts requirements and inventory for service activities.
• Support warranty and AMC activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, package units, and other HVAC equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Attend service calls and provide timely resolution of customer complaints.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintenance records.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams for project execution and service delivery.
• Manage spare parts requirements and inventory for service activities.
• Support warranty and annual maintenance contract (AMC) activities.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field.
• Relevant HVAC certification is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and refrigeration principles.
• Hands-on experience with VRF/VRV systems, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, and ducting systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls and building management systems (BMS).
• Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and service documentation.
