Job summary

JKR CONSULTING & SERVICES is seeking an experienced HVAC Design Lead to head design and engineering for high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, airports, and large-scale projects in Mumbai. You will lead load calculations, equipment sizing, and multidisciplinary coordination.

You should be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit MEP, with BIM workflow knowledge, and capable of guiding a team to meet quality standards and project timelines while liaising with clients and other engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC design for building projects.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, airports, or other large-scale projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP; Navisworks knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water systems, ventilation, and equipment selection.
• Understanding BIM workflows, interdisciplinary coordination, and clash detection.
• Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design for high-rise and complex buildings.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations, ventilation analysis, and equipment sizing.
• Design HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, VRF/VRV, AHUs, FCUs, ducting, and ventilation systems.
• Prepare and review HVAC layouts, schematics, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.
• Ensure compliance with applicable ASHRAE standards, NBC guidelines, and relevant local codes.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, Structural, and Architectural teams.
• Review drawings, identify design clashes, and resolve technical issues.
• Supervise design deliverables, ensure quality, and meet project timelines.
• Support client meetings, technical discussions, and design reviews.
