Job summary

iTeach Schools seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead people-centric initiatives across our Pune and Navi Mumbai campuses. You will partner with the HR Head to design policies, processes, and systems that enhance staff experience and sustain a high-performance culture in a dynamic education setting.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in HR, with 2+ years in education or school systems, and a track record of building capacity, managing teams, and delivering people-focused programs in a fast-paced

• Bachelor’s degree with strong performance.
• 5+ years of work experience overall, with 2+ years in HR.
• Preferred: Experience managing a team.
• Preferred: Experience in a school system/education organisation.

Responsibilities

• HR Manager will work with the HR Head with a three-pronged approach: designing initiatives to improve staff experience, owning policies, processes, and systems to ensure smooth functioning of the organisation, and building capacity in the organisation for effective people management.
• Design and refine HR, POSH, Child Protection, and related policies to stay applicable and up-to-date.
• Design and improve HR tools (leave tracking, punctuality, payroll) for better UX and analytics.
• Study trends across teams and recommend policy shifts.
• Design and execute programs for employee well-being and measure engagement (e.g., GPTW, Gallup Q12).
• Review staff benefits and conduct cost-benefit analysis.
• Design org initiatives to ensure empowering staff experiences, including onboarding, communication, performance management, and staff development.

The HR Manager will work closely with the HR Head, with a three-pronged approach - designing all organisation initiatives to create a fantastic staff member experience, owning the policies, processes, and systems to ensure the smooth and productive functioning of the organisation and building capacity in the organisation for effective people management.

Policies, Systems,and Processes

• Design & refine HR, POSH, Child Protection, and other related policies to keep them 100% applicable, relevant, contextual, and up to date.
• Design and improve tools used for HR functions (leave tracking, punctuality, payroll, etc.) to have a great user experience, reviewer ease, and powerful analytics.
• Study trends across the teams and recommend shifts in policies and systems.

Employee Engagement And Well Being

• Design and execute different programs for employee well-being.
• Measure staff engagement using tools such as Great Place to Work and Gallup Q12.
• Review benefits provided to staff members and conduct Cost-Benefit benchmarking analysis.

People Experience

• Design and execute (with help from HR Associate and other staff) org initiatives to ensure an empowering experience for all staff.
• This involves initiatives for welcoming people, keeping inspiration high, communicating with staff, listening to staff, performance management, celebration, staff development, grievance redressal, collaboration, and other such areas.

Capacity Building

• Work with other managers to solve cases of underperformance, code of conduct, long leaves, etc.
• Design and create training for various HR-related compliances like CPP, Onboarding, and orientation in the organisation.

• Required: Bachelor’s degree with strong performance
• Required: 5+ years of work experience overall, with 2 + years in HR
• Preferred: Experience managing a team
• Preferred: Experience in a school system/education organisation.

Compensation and Benefits:

We take pride in offering competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with the candidate's education and work experience. The salary range for this position ranges from 9.0 - 10.5 LPA CTC, and we are dedicated to providing top-notch industry benefits.
