We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for the ongoing support of Non-production, maintenance and governance of environments and their interfaces with other Group Systems.
  2. Ensure that environments remain robust and healthy, and continue to be fully supportive of the business demands for the future.
  3. Deployment of projects to production by following the change and release management process and using DevOps tools RTC, Arcad, Jenkins.
  4. Support Batch runs for ongoing projects. Investigate jobs in error.
  5. Strong customer focus.
  6. Have an excellent knowledge of the project lifecycle & Agile concepts.
  7. Communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Capacity to think beyond boundaries, open to new ideas.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  1. 2-5 years of experience on iSeries platform (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2, SQL).
  2. Good exposure to MQ, Connect Direct, sFTP interface setup on iSeries.
  3. Test Environment Build, Maintenance, Support and Manage access controls on iSeries platform.
  4. Knowledge of code promotion to different Test and Live environments via source control tools.
  5. Good knowledge on Code packaging, Change planning and Production Release, Subsystems, Backup and Restore process etc.
  6. Good knowledge on work management, DASD monitoring, allocation and clean-up.
  7. Good knowledge on Change, Release and Environment Management process.
  8. Good knowledge on Batch Support & Troubleshooting.
  9. Exposure to create in-house utilities to automate manual tasks.
  10. Proven experience in Change Management, Release and Environment Management.
  11. Knowledge of Change and Release Management tools like RTC, ARCAD, Jenkins etc. and also wide knowledge of IT hardware, software, operations and networks.
