Job description

Head of HR for Singapore, a permanent, full-time position based in Singapore with an expected five days onsite. In this critical HR leadership role, the successful candidate will partner closely with country management to drive the people agenda across frontline operations, site‑based employees, and corporate functions. The role will strengthen HR foundations, enhance workforce engagement, develop leadership capability, and ensure people practices effectively support business performance and operational objectives.

The position will oversee the end‑to‑end HR agenda for Singapore in a hands‑on capacity, supporting a workforce of approximately 2,000 with a substantial blue‑collar employee population across multiple operational sites. Responsibilities include workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, industrial and employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and culture initiatives. The role also focuses on operational HR execution across recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, manpower planning, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate will bring operational and strategic HR expertise from industrial, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, transportation, construction, or other blue‑collar workforce‑intensive environments. Experience managing large employee populations across multiple locations and supporting frontline workforce segments is highly advantageous. The role is expected to be highly visible and hands‑on, with regular engagement across operational sites and business functions, and it will require a proven ability to balance strategic priorities with effective day‑to‑day HR execution while maintaining compliance with Singapore employment legislation and regulations.
