Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s Degree: Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD candidates) from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent foreign degree.
• Eligibility Test: Qualified NET, SLET, SET or other state equivalent test accredited by HPPSC.
• Ph.D. Exemption: Valid Ph.D. awarded in regular mode with regulatory compliance (published research and open viva‑voce) exempts from NET/SLET/SET.

Salary

Assistant Professor, College Cadre, Group-A Job Trainee: ₹35,000 per month.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Job Trainees and will receive a fixed monthly amount of ₹35,000. The same salary applies to all 22 subjects.

Selection Process

Paper‑I (Screening Test): 1‑hour objective type test (100 marks) covering General Knowledge of HP, National/International Affairs, English, and Hindi.

Paper‑II (Subject Aptitude Test – SAT): 3‑hour descriptive paper (120 marks) based on the syllabus of the relevant academic subject.

Document Verification: Checking of original documents based on merit scores.

Personality Test: Final interview (30 marks) conducted at the HPPSC office in Shimla. Final merit is calculated out of 150 marks (SAT + Personality Test).

Stage 1 – Paper‑I Screening Test: 100 marks

Stage 2 – Paper‑II Subject Aptitude Test: 120 marks

Stage 3 – Personality Test: 30 marks

Final Merit: Subject Aptitude Test + Personality Test – 150 marks
