Job summary

Alstom seeks an experienced HMI Software Engineer to contribute to the design and development of the ATS HMI for diverse projects. You will help define software specifications, architecture, and graphics, collaborating with the architecture team and ATS leaders.

The role requires 4+ years in software design, VBA/VBS/VB6.0 proficiency, and knowledge of SCADA architectures. A proactive team player will thrive in a global, multidisciplinary environment at Alstom Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in software design and development.
• Good knowledge of SCADA systems and its high-level architecture.
• Experience with OPC protocol.
• Requirements Management in DOORS.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the elaboration of HMI Sw specification & architecture, in collaboration with the architect.
• Develop and design of HMI Graphics (Symbols / Mimics).
• Perform the HMI Sw modules detailed design & coding.
• Work closely with ATS leader and all the stakeholders.
• Ensure the HMI development process is followed during development.
• Put the work product under configuration management according to product CM Plan.
• Support the ATS integration and V&V teams.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

Qualifications & Skills:

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

• 4+years of experience in software design and development
• VBA, VBS, VB6.0 on Windows OS proficiency
• Must have good experience in debugging VBA,VBS,VB6.0 applications
• Good knowledge of SCADA systems and its high-level architecture.
• Experience in working with OPC protocol.
• Able to understand Change request cycle for bug logging.
• Requirements Management in DOORS

Nice to have:

• Railway Signaling HMI Experience.
