Senior IT Project Manager / Program Manager SAP / ERP

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager / Program Manager with 8+ years of experience in IT project and program management, including significant experience managing SAP projects/programs or ERP implementations.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in CMMI, SDLC, Agile, Scrum methodologies, project governance, delivery processes, and industry standards.

The candidate must have a proven track record of establishing, managing, and scaling large technology teams, with mandatory experience managing 100+ team members/resources across multiple projects or programs.

SAP project/program management experience is preferred. Candidates with other ERP implementation experience for Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical clients may also be considered. Experience managing SAP BTP projects/programs will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale SAP, ERP, and IT projects/programs from initiation through successful delivery.
• Manage end-to-end implementation, transformation, integration, enhancement, and support programs across SAP or other ERP platforms.
• Establish and implement SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and CMMI-based processes and standards across project teams.
• Build, establish, structure, and manage large cross-functional technology teams.
• Manage 100+ resources across multiple projects, teams, and locations.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of SAP/ERP projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scope, timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
• Experience managing ERP implementation programs for Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical clients, including understanding of industry-specific processes, compliance requirements, and business operations, will be considered an advantage.
• Define project governance, delivery frameworks, processes, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure projects follow organizational quality, compliance, CMMI, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and ERP delivery standards.
• Drive Agile transformation and continuous process improvement across engineering, SAP, and ERP delivery teams.
• Manage project planning, estimation, budgeting, resource allocation, risks, dependencies, and timelines.
• Establish project KPIs, metrics, dashboards, and governance mechanisms to monitor delivery performance.
• Work closely with senior leadership, business stakeholders, clients, SAP/ERP functional and technical teams, and delivery teams.
• Identify and mitigate project/program risks and issues proactively.
• Conduct regular project reviews, steering committee meetings, and management reporting.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across geographically distributed teams.
• Mentor Project Managers, Program Managers, Scrum Masters, Team Leads, and Delivery Managers.
• Drive process maturity, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality, scope, budget, and customer expectations.
• Manage dependencies across SAP/ERP and non-SAP applications, infrastructure, integration, data, and technology teams.
• Where applicable, oversee delivery of SAP BTP initiatives, including BTP-based application, integration, extension, or transformation programs.
• Manage client relationships and ensure successful delivery against agreed SLAs, KPIs, contractual commitments, and business outcomes
