SAP BRIM Data Analyst / Developer

Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP BRIM Data Analyst and Developer to lead critical data migration and integration initiatives. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful transformation of enterprise data within the SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management (BRIM) ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) and the EMIGALL migration framework, driving the migration of complex subscription, charging, and invoicing data. This position requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between legacy systems and modern SAP architectures, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and seamless integration across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Migration & Data Analysis: Spearhead enterprise-wide data migration and conversion efforts for Subscription Order Management (SOM), Convergent Charging (CC), Convergent Invoicing (CI), and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA). This includes analyzing legacy source systems to define precise mappings for SAP BRIM target structures.
  
• ETL Development: Architect, build, and maintain robust ETL processes using SAP Data Services (BODS), including the creation of workflows, scripts, and transformation logic. Focus on optimizing job performance, scalability, and reliability while managing batch processing and automation schedules.
  
• EMIGALL Configuration: Configure and develop EMIGALL migration objects and load programs to facilitate the transfer of master data, transactional records, FICA objects, customer accounts, and billing information. Execute mock conversions, dress rehearsals, and production cutover activities.
  
• Data Quality & Reconciliation: Design and implement validation scripts, reconciliation reports, and data quality checks to verify the completeness, accuracy, and integrity of all migrated data. Investigate and resolve discrepancies and migration defects promptly.
  
• System Integration: Facilitate seamless integration between SAP BRIM and surrounding systems, including SAP S/4HANA, CRM platforms, legacy billing systems, and external data sources. Collaborate with integration teams on API development and middleware solutions.
  
• Testing & Support: Lead participation in unit, system integration, user acceptance, and performance testing phases. Provide post-production stabilization, troubleshoot live issues, and ensure ongoing operational support.
  
• Documentation & Governance: Author and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data mapping documents, ETL design specifications, migration procedures, and operational runbooks. Uphold data governance standards and compliance protocols.
  
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with data architects, functional consultants, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders during design reviews and planning sessions. Provide technical mentorship and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
  

Requirements

• Professional Experience: Minimum of 9 years in SAP data migration or development, with at least 5 years of hands‑on SAP BODS development and 3 years of specific SAP EMIGALL migration experience.
  
• Technical Proficiency: Proven track record in developing SAP BODS ETL jobs, creating complex data mappings, and configuring EMIGALL load processes. Strong SQL skills for database analysis and report generation are essential.
  
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of SAP BRIM data structures, FICA migration concepts, and enterprise data migration methodologies. Familiarity with data quality standards and reconciliation best practices is required.
  
• Integration Skills: Experience integrating SAP BRIM with SAP S/4HANA, database technologies, APIs, and middleware platforms. Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize system interactions.
  
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, coupled with strong communication skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Must demonstrate high organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Data Migration Cockpit, SAP HANA, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or cloud-based SAP environments.
  
• Background in utilities, telecommunications, transportation, finance, or other subscription-based industries.
  

Required Certifications

• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management.
