Job summary

Zensar Technologies seeks a data engineer to design, develop, and operate scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will optimize BigQuery queries, build ETL/ELT workflows with Dataflow and Airflow, and ingest data from diverse sources.

Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions, while ensuring data quality and security. The role requires hands-on GCP, Python, and DBT experience, plus a solid grounding in data warehousing concepts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery.
• Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Working knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool).
• Experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop complex SQL queries and optimize data processing using BigQuery.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Dataflow, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and DBT.
• Implement data ingestion solutions from various structured and unstructured data sources.
• Work with Google Cloud Storage (GCS) for data lake and staging layer implementations.
• Configure and manage Pub/Sub for real-time data streaming requirements.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Ensure data security and access management through IAM policies and governance standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and data platform issues.
