Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) invites applications for a GCP Data Engineer to join our data engineering team across multiple locations including Chennai. You will design and implement scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Airflow, and collaborate with analytics teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.

The role requires strong SQL, Python programming and a solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Proficient with Google Cloud Platform services, especially BigQuery.
• Strong Python programming skills and data modeling ability.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture replicating the existing process.
• Analyze, explore and select the appropriate tools for data migration and transformation.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional/non-functional requirements.
• Keep data separated and secured using masking and encryption.
• Work with data and analytics experts to improve data system functionality.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements for scalability.

Role: GCP Data Engineer - BigQuery
Desired Experience Range: 6-10 years
Location: Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune,Kolkata,Delhi.

Required Technical Skill Set**

SQL + GCP(Big Query, Pub/ Sub, Dataflow, Composer DAGs, Airflow)

• Should have experience in Big Query, Pub/ Sub, Dataflow, Composer DAGs and Air flow
• Strong SQL knowledge able to translate complex scenarios into queries
• Experience with Data modeling and mapping.
• Experience with Google Cloud SDK & API Scripting
• Strong Programming experience in Python
• Experience in Agile processes and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience of Retail domain will be an added advantage. Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
