Job summary

Gilco Global Pvt. Ltd. is hiring Field Technician – Elevators & Lifts for installation, maintenance and service across multiple sites including Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Chandigarh.

The role requires hands-on experience with elevator systems, fault diagnosis and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate has 1 year of field experience, an ITI/ Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical, and the ability to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant field experience in elevator/lift industry.
• ITI or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or related technical discipline preferred.
• Basic fault diagnosis and ability to work with electrical/mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Carry out elevator installation, maintenance, servicing and repair activities at assigned sites.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of elevator systems.
• Identify and report electrical, mechanical and operational faults.
• Assist with testing, commissioning and rectification of technical issues.
• Respond to service calls and breakdowns as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain daily work reports, service records and site documentation.

About the Role

Gilco Global Pvt. Ltd. is looking for skilled, responsible and technically inclined Field Technicians to join our Installation, Maintenance and Service teams.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in elevator installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting or repair work, with a strong commitment to safety, quality and timely execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out elevator installation, maintenance, servicing and repair activities at assigned sites.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of elevator systems.
• Identify and report electrical, mechanical and operational faults.
• Assist with testing, commissioning and rectification of technical issues.
• Respond to service calls and breakdown complaints as assigned.
• Follow prescribed safety procedures, technical instructions and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily work reports, service records and site documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and project teams for timely completion of assigned work.
• Ensure proper handling of tools, equipment and materials.
• Maintain professional conduct and communication with clients and site representatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant field experience, preferably in the elevator/lift industry.
• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Practical understanding of electrical wiring, mechanical components, control systems and basic fault diagnosis.
• Ability to work independently or under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Willingness to travel to assigned project and maintenance sites.
• Basic ability to use a smartphone for attendance, reporting and work updates.
• Good discipline, punctuality and a safety-conscious approach.
• Candidates with experience in elevator installation, maintenance or breakdown services will be preferred.
