AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Highway Engineer based in Bangalore to join our multidisciplinary team delivering highway projects for international clients. You will contribute to design, checking and mentoring to ensure technical quality.

You will supervise designers, manage project delivery to time and budget, and liaise with Canada-based customers in a responsive, client-focused manner. English communication and collaboration across cultures are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified degree in civil engineering with consultancy experience in highways.
• Experience implementing TAC standards in roads design.
• Proficiency in Open Roads Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong communication skills in English for client liaison.
• Experience delivering highway projects to time and budget.

Your Role

• You will be an Engineer within the Highways team carrying out the design and checking of a range of elements associated with highway projects. You will be responsible for:
• Project based supervision of designers and drafting staff
• Maintaining technical quality standards and mentoring junior designers
• Delivering projects to time and budget
• Liaising with Canada based customers in a responsive and client focused manner

The successful candidate will need to

• Be highly self-motivated and ambitious
• Have a track record of technical achievement and client satisfaction within the highways and bridges industry
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
• Have the ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customers
• Be able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients
• Have the experience of using written and spoken English within a business environment
• The position is to be based in Bangalore

About You

• Qualified Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputed College
• Have relevant experience in the region of around 3 to 10 years inconsultancy business working on highways and related features in Canada Region.
• Knowledge and Experience of applying TAC standards in Roads Design.
• Experienced user of Open Roads Design, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation
• Experience implementing quality standards and procedures
• A very good knowledge of working in all applications of MS Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Evidence of having successfully delivered highway projects
• Holdsa Masters Degree in a relevant discipline
• Expert in the use of Open Road design software and AutoCAD/MicroStation for Highway schemes
• Experience of the design of grade separated junctions
• Experience of the design of pipe drainage networks
• Working knowledge ofCanada highway design standards
