Current Opening: Applications are invited for the post of IT Strategist and Implementer at the Healis-Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Establish IT strategy, direction and roadmap to drive thoughtful and strategic deployment of IT for operational and project-level purposes.
  2. Understand, qualify and plan IT opportunities and requirements in scientific projects.
  3. Implement processes to drive periodic assessment and reporting on operational and security functions for IT and security in the organization.
  4. Develop and formalize IT service and security functions across the general IT service management and cybersecurity portfolios.
  5. Plan and perform day-to-day maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  6. Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and identify IT processes for automation.
  7. Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues.
  8. Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance.
  9. Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  10. Maintain inventory of IT infrastructure.
  11. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
  12. Build and maintain internal technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  13. Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Diploma or Associate’s degree in Computers technology, Information Technology, or a closely related field, or equivalent with 3-5 years’ industry experience.
  2. A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
  3. Strong knowledge of MS Windows systems, networking (design, deployment and configuration), endpoint management and cybersecurity.
  4. Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including strong knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
