The role requires 20+ years in industrial valve design, deep API/ASME standard expertise, and strong cross-functional leadership to support production, supply chain, and customer engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 20+ years in Industrial Valve Design, Engineering and NPD.
• Expertise in quarter-turn, multi-turn and non-return valves.
• Strong experience in severe-service applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead valve engineering function including Product Design, Development, R&D, NPD, and Engineering Services.
• Develop long-term product/technology roadmap.
• Drive innovation, new valve series and customized solutions.
• Lead cost reduction and product modernization.
• Oversee design of industrial valves including Butterfly, Ball, Plug, Gate/Globe/Check and Knife Gate.
• Ensure calculations, drawings, layouts, BOM and technical documentation.
• Lead design validations, type tests, fire-safe, cryogenic and special tests.
• Coordinate with Production, SCM, Quality, Sales and Service.
• Support vendor development & product approvals.

Job description

1. Role Summary

The Head Valves will lead the complete Valve Product Division, including Design, Engineering, NPD, R&D, Quality, Technical Services and Certifications. The position is responsible for strategic leadership, portfolio expansion, new product innovation, cost optimization, customer engineering support, and ensuring global compliance standards across all industrial valve categories.

2. Key Responsibilities

a) Leadership & Strategy

• Lead valve engineering function including Product Design, Development, R&D, NPD, and Engineering Services.
• Develop long-term product/technology roadmap.
• Drive innovation, new valve series and customized solutions.
• Lead cost reduction and product modernization.

b) Product Design & Engineering

• Oversee design of industrial valves including Butterfly (API 609), Ball (Floating & Trunnion/API 6D), Plug (API 6D/6A), Gate/Globe/Check (API 600), and Knife Gate.
• Ensure calculations, drawings, layouts, BOM and technical documentation.
• Lead design validations, type tests, fire-safe, cryogenic and special tests.

c) Compliance, Certifications & Standards

• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, MSS, ISO, IBR, CE, ATEX, SIL, PED.
• Lead all audits: API Monogram, QMS, PED, ATEX, UL, ISO.

d) Quality, Reliability & Technical Resolution

• Lead RCA, complaint resolution and reliability improvements.
• Ensure strong quality practices.
• Provide technical support to key/global customers.

e) Cross-Functional Leadership

• Coordinate with Production, SCM, Quality, Sales and Service.
• Support vendor development & product approvals.

f) Required Experience

• 20+ years in Industrial Valve Design, Engineering and NPD.
• Expertise in quarter-turn, multi-turn and non-return valves.
• Strong experience in severe-service applications.

g) Technical Skills

• Mastery of API 6D, API 600, API 609, API 6A, MSS, ASME standards.
• Software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, SAP/ERP, PLM.
• Expertise in actuators and sealing technologies.

h) Leadership Competencies

• Strong team leadership, customer orientation and decision-making.

3. Education

• B.E. (Mechanical/Production/Industrial) mandatory.
