Job summary

Surya Global Flexifilms in Uttar Pradesh is seeking a Quality Assurance Leader to oversee QC across incoming raw materials, in-process production and finished films. You will establish quality parameters for flexible packaging films (BOPP, BOPET), ensure adherence to specs, control plans, SOPs and testing procedures.

You will drive reduction of process variation, lead internal and supplier audits, manage customer complaints and CAPA, develop quality management systems aligned with ISO standards,

Responsibilities

• Lead QC activities across incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• Establish and monitor quality parameters for flexible packaging films (BOPP, BOPET etc.).
• Ensure adherence to approved product specifications, control plans, SOPs and testing procedures.
• Monitor critical film properties such as thickness, GSM, tensile strength, elongation, COF, haze, gloss, seal strength, shrinkage, WVTR/OTR and other relevant parameters.
• Drive reduction of process variation, rejection, downgrade, scrap and customer complaints.
• Define quality standards for resins and other incoming materials.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and trends.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Technical teams for supplier evaluation and corrective actions.
• Lead investigation and resolution of customer complaints related to film quality and performance.
• Conduct RCA using appropriate methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA.
• Coordinate with Production, R&D, Technical Service and Sales teams for effective complaint closure.
• Maintain complaint trend analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain quality management systems in line with applicable ISO and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with customer-specific specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Lead internal, customer and certification audits.
• Maintain quality documentation, procedures, records and control plans.
• Drive quality improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, CAPA and other methodologies.
• Establish quality KPIs and dashboards.
• Analyze rejection, downgrade, complaints and process capability trends.
• Work closely with Production and R&D team to reduce manufacturing losses.
• Lead, mentor and develop QC officers, engineers, chemists, technicians and laboratory personnel.
• Define KRAs/KPIs and performance objectives for the QC team.
• Conduct training on testing methods, quality standards, problem-solving and quality awareness.
• Build a strong culture of quality, discipline and data-driven decision-making.
