Adani Transmission seeks a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead large mining, civil infrastructure projects in Barsua and Rourkela, Odisha. You will steer multi‑disciplinary teams, ensure safety, time and budget adherence, and drive quality through ISO standards.
You will coordinate with ERC, float tenders, evaluate quotations, and manage contractors to deliver complex processing and material handling projects on schedule.
Lead discussions with stakeholders to understand project requirements, focusing on mineral processing techniques and material handling technologies.
Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and prepare detailed project proposals, including budget estimates for management approval (NFAs).
Collaborate with the Engineering Review Committee (ERC) to create and finalize project drawings that incorporate advanced material handling and processing equipment, ensuring they meet project requirements and obtain necessary approvals from management.
Collaborate with the commercial team to float tenders, evaluate technical and price quotations, and assist in contractor negotiations, emphasizing the unique aspects of civil and specialized processing projects.
Project Construction Monitoring:Plan, monitor, coordinate, execute, inspect, and commission internal civil and specialized processing projects to ensure they align with the planned timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Supervise field work, including contract work, ensuring adherence to standards that encompass both civil construction and specialized processing equipment installation.
Ensure the timely completion of milestones while maintaining quality, time, and budgeted costs, with a keen focus on the integration of processing technologies.
Conduct daily project review meetings with the civil and processing teams and contractors to track progress and take corrective actions to complete the project as per the budgeted cost and timeline.
Ensure the highest level of quality systems are enforced and maintained onsite through adherence to project quality plans, QC audits, and ISO compliances.
Budget & Cost Control:Establish comprehensive budgets for construction projects across clusters, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and financial plans. Continuously track expenses and adjust forecasts to maintain budget adherence.
Identify and implement cost‑saving measures throughout the project lifecycle, including negotiating with vendors, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring efficient utilization of materials and equipment.
Regularly review financial performance against the budget, prepare cost reports, and provide actionable insights for senior management. Address any variances and develop strategies for cost control.
Conduct financial risk assessments related to construction activities, identifying potential cost overruns or budgetary risks. Implement corrective actions to mitigate financial exposure and ensure projects remain within budget.
Billing and Contractor Management:Review and certify invoices and claims submitted by contractors and consultants, ensuring they are accurate and justified.
Ensure the timely processing of invoices to maintain smooth cash flow and contractor relations, with special attention to processing equipment suppliers.
Ensure contractors adhere to safety norms, maintaining a safe working environment for both construction and processing areas.
Achieve cost savings through innovative approaches and modifications, constantly reviewing and identifying alternate construction methodologies for quicker project delivery.
Digitalization and Tech Initiatives:Formulate a comprehensive plan to integrate advanced technologies like Building Information Modeling (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and process automation tools into construction projects.
Oversee the effective adoption and integration of digital tools to enhance project efficiency, with a particular focus on improving material handling and processing.
Evaluate the impact of digital technologies on project outcomes and drive continuous improvement, particularly in the areas of mineral processing and material handling.
