Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Head Production Control to lead aircraft maintenance planning and production control activities for its aviation fleet. The role is responsible for long-term maintenance planning, regulatory compliance, manpower and resource planning, aircraft maintenance scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring efficient execution of maintenance operations in compliance with DGCA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning
- Prepare and manage long-term (5-year) and annual aircraft maintenance plans.
- Develop Line and Base Maintenance check work packages based on Technical Services forecasts.
- Monitor aircraft maintenance schedules to ensure timely execution and minimal operational disruptions.
Production & Resource Control
- Ensure availability and pre-positioning of tools, ground support equipment, materials, and spare parts for scheduled maintenance.
- Coordinate manpower planning and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
- Optimize maintenance workflow to improve operational efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with DGCA regulations, including:
- CAR-M
- CAR-145
- Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
- Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME)
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
Fleet & Maintenance Management
- Monitor aircraft routing and maintenance status.
- Plan and oversee implementation of Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs).
- Manage rotable and repairable component inventory, including repair tracking and replenishment.
- Recommend Reorder Level (ROL) spares to maintain fleet availability.
Audits & Budgeting
- Support annual maintenance budgeting and cost planning.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
- Maintain accurate maintenance planning records and reports.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace or related discipline), OR
- Valid AME License / BAMEC / BKEC qualification.
Experience
- 15 - 22+ years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning, Production Control, or Continuing Airworthiness within an airline or MRO environment.
- Experience in maintenance planning for commercial aircraft fleets is essential.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning and production control.
- In-depth understanding of DGCA regulations, including CAR-M, CAR-145, MOE, and CAME.
- Experience in Line & Base Maintenance planning.
- Expertise in manpower planning and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and maintenance documentation.
- Experience in rotable inventory management and spare parts planning.
- Strong analytical, planning, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
