Job summary

unilift cargo system pvt ltd is seeking a Head – Operations & Maintenance (O&M) to lead end-to-end operations and maintenance for the Coke Oven Plant at JSW Dolvi, Pen, Maharashtra. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and operational excellence to maximize plant availability.

Candidates should have 8–10 years of O&M experience in Coke Oven or related process plants, with hands-on expertise in Coke Oven operations and maintenance, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical/Industrial Production/Electrical Eng is required.
• 8–10 years of O&M experience in Coke Oven/Steel/Process Plants.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, commissioning, and plant safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and maintenance activities of the Coke Oven Plant, ensuring maximum plant availability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and environmental norms, maintaining zero dust and fume emissions.
• Prepare, implement, and monitor SMPs (Standard Maintenance Procedures) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for all maintenance activities.
• Handle erection, installation, commissioning, and performance monitoring of plant equipment and systems.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Improve equipment reliability, reduce breakdowns, and enhance plant productivity through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely execution and closure of AO, VSAP, QMS, and other compliance-related activities.
• Manage spare parts planning, inventory control, procurement coordination, and vendor management.
• Lead, train, and develop maintenance and operations teams to build technical capability and improve performance.
• Coordinate with production and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth plant operations and achieve production targets.

Job Purpose

To lead and optimize end-to-end plant operations and maintenance by ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. The role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, executing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, leading erection and commissioning activities, and ensuring uninterrupted operations with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 8–10 years of experience in Operations & Maintenance within Coke Oven, Steel, or Process Plants.
• Hands‑on experience in Coke Oven operations and maintenance is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, commissioning, and plant safety practices.
• Excellent leadership, problem‑solving, planning, and team management skills.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
