Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai seeks Head of Research for the Institutional Desk to lead the team, produce high‑quality research, and raise the firm’s profile with fund managers, analysts and buy‑side clients.

Reporting to the CEO, you will manage analysts, oversee coverage lists, publish theme reports and roadshows, build deep institutional relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance while growing institutional revenue.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of Institutional Equity research experience with multi-sector coverage.
• CFA, CA, or MBA from Premier Institutes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop the Institutional Research team; guide reports for institutional clients.
• Publish key theme reports, thought leadership notes, and plan roadshows.
• Maintain visibility in digital and print media for self and team.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting key segments; collaborate with Institutional Sales.
• Build strong relationships with Fund Managers and buy-side clients; drive revenue growth.

I. Job Summary

The Head of Research, reporting directly to the CEO, will lead the Institutional Research team and drive the production of high-quality research products. This role focuses on establishing the company as a reputable entity in the Institutional Research domain. The individual will engage closely with Fund Managers, Analysts, and key players in financial institutions such as AIFs/AMCs/PMSs.

Key responsibilities include:

• 1. Talent management: Overseeing analysts and collaborating with internal teams like Institutional Sales.
• 2. Cultivating and leveraging professional relationships with key Institutional Clients to foster business growth.
• 3. Directly managing and developing a proficient Research Team to cater to Institutional Clients' needs while maintaining high research standards.
• 4. Approving coverage lists and collaborating on key research reports, theme pieces, economic views, and event coverage.
• 5. Contributing to the growth of Institutional revenue streams.
• 6. Ensuring research team compliance with regulatory standards in collaboration with the compliance department.

II. Job Duties/Responsibilities

• 40% Essential Team management & development + Client Meetings:
  • Supervising the Institutional Research team and guiding them in producing relevant reports for Institutional Clients.
  • Conducting client meetings.
• 35% Essential Own Reports, Roadshows & Media:
  • Publishing key theme reports and thought leadership notes.
  • Planning and executing activities like road shows.
  • Maintaining visibility in digital and print media for self and team.
• 25% Essential Others:
  • Monitoring regulatory developments affecting key segments.
  • Collaborating with Institutional Sales to onboard new clients.
  • Building internal relationships for company Research's premier positioning among top brokers in India.

III. Requirements

• CFA, CA, or MBA from Premier Institutes.
