Job summary

NagaEd is seeking a Head of Programs to lead multiple program teams and oversee the delivery of education initiatives across the organization. The role requires coordinating with partners, schools, and government bodies to ensure timely, on-budget results.

The position emphasizes robust planning, budget management, and cross-functional leadership to drive learning outcomes and organizational impact.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in project or program leadership, with at least 2 years in a senior or cross-functional role.
  • Experience managing program teams across government and institutional partnerships.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, EdTech platforms, or blended learning.
  • Familiarity with NEP 2020, CBSE/NCERT curriculum, and tribal/indigenous education contexts.
  • Experience in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple program teams, including the College Program Team, SSP Program Team, DEP Team and future readiness program team, including project managers, project leads, and coordinators.
  • Oversee the delivery and execution of programs across all teams, ensuring alignment with the organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and reporting mechanisms to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure quality across all projects.
  • Ensure effective coordination with partners, schools, government bodies, and internal teams.
  • Lead the Learning and Content Development Team, including learning designers, content creators, and subject matter experts.
  • Drive the planning, development, and continuous improvement of programs for various education stakeholders.
  • Set quality standards and review processes to ensure that all programs are well structured, impact-driven, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Guide innovation in instructional design and delivery across all teams.
  • Support organizational growth by identifying opportunities for program expansion and new service offerings.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align program outcomes with organizational strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and support cross-functional teams across all program units.
  • Represent NagaEd in engagements with clients, government stakeholders, and partners.
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, presentations, and stakeholder communication.
  • Promote NagaEd’s work and thought leadership in program delivery and implementation.

Job description

The Head of Programs is a senior leadership role at NagaEd responsible for leading multiple program teams across the organisation. The role is designed to drive excellence in program delivery, team leadership, ownership and cross functional collaboration to ensure that all programs meet organizational goals and deliver maximum impact.

Organisational Unit Function

The Head of Programs will:

Selection Criteria

As the Head of Programs, you will lead and oversee all programs, driving impactful education projects and managing the Learning and Development team. This role is ideal for someone who has had extensive experience in the field of project management and team administration.

  • 8+ years of experience in project or program leadership, with at least 2 years in a senior or cross-functional role.
  • Strong experience managing and leading program teams across multiple government and institutional partnerships.
  • Master’s degree in Education, Project Management, Business Administration, Program Management, Leadership, or related field.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and complex initiatives.
  • Strong strategic thinking, planning, and execution skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and reporting skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation trends in education.
  • Experience working with government, schools, and other institutional partners.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), EdTech platforms, or blended learning models.
