James Douglas, a well-established manufacturing organization, seeks a senior leader to head its Plating & Surface Finishing function in Tamil Nadu. You will lead end-to-end plating and surface finishing operations, drive production planning, capacity utilisation and process excellence, and partner with engineering, sourcing and quality teams to deliver high performance.

Competenze

• 15+ years of experience in production and process management within manufacturing.
• Strong experience in plating, coating, surface treatment or other continuous/batch process industries.
• Demonstrated expertise in electroplating and/or PVD / advanced coating technologies.
• Proven experience in production planning, capacity management, process improvement and cost optimisation.
• Experience leading large-scale manufacturing teams, preferably in a complex shopfloor environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, 5S and Operational Excellence.
• Exposure to automation, digital manufacturing and technology-led process improvement would be an advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving and people leadership capabilities.
• Should be comfortable working in a hands-on, transformation-oriented leadership role.

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, sourcing, quality, technology and manufacturing partners.
• Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, safety, compliance and sustainability across the function.
• Lead transformation initiatives to modernise conventional processes and introduce automation, digital monitoring and advanced manufacturing technologies.
